Milwaukee

Milwaukee's Premier Reggae Band. King Solomon delivers a sound that comes across as aggressively syncopated and tight while at the same time smooth and hypnotic. Their music is best described as "dancehall roots reggae with a powerhouse punch to the heart". Formed in the fall of 1998 by guitarist Terry Tanger and drummer Keith Green. Tanger, former guitarist/front man for the popular 80's band the X-Cleavers, and Green, former drummer/vocalist from the band Kojo, came together to form a more distinctive sound on the local reggae music scene. In their search for that distinctive sound, they came across former Citizen King bassist Cory Coleman and the foundation for King Solomon was set. All that was needed now was someone with energy and charisma to front the band. Enter the dancehall Rastafarian tag team of Jah Dewayne and Robert "Lion-O" Smith. King Solomon's huge sound is made possible by the engineering, mixing, and dubbing styles of veteran sound engineer Jonny Olson.
