Mare Edstrom and Kenn Fox

Mare Edstrom has become known primarily as a ground-breaking Blues vocalist/interpreter whose wide vocal range, energy, and vintage brand of roadhouse authenticity have been lauded by critics again and again. She performs with Midwest producer/guitarist Kenn Fox, a master of various blues styles including bottleneck slide guitar and Piedmont-style fingerpicking. Her first Blues album, Inside the Blues, is being heard on radio stations throughout Europe and the US and has had received extensive favorable reviews, including Blues Revue in the US and Crossroads in France. Mare’s second Blues effort, Shake ‘em on Down, was released in March 2006. Her latest album, Keys to the Castle, takes a step away from the Blues and places Mare into new and exciting stylistic territory, pushing the boundaries of modern Americana and roots rock, with songwriting masterpieces by the likes of Richard Thompson, John Hiatt, and Tom Waits, as well as three originals by producer/guitarist Kenn Fox.
