DDLX was formed back in the summer of ’01 by local hoodlums Aaron (on bass guitar) and Evan Knapp (vocals and guitar), along with pal Joshua Naylor (on drums). Fueled by the punk pop tones of Blink-182, Green Day, Reel Big Fish, Gold finger, Zebrahead and Sum 41, Ddlx was formed a fast, hard rockin’ trio. Starting in the Naylor basement, these tenacious 3 could be heard in the gymnasium of St.Mary’s. After many performances at their grade school, DDLX started playing out at parties of friends, and at the Elm Grove pool. About 1 year into the DDLX saga, they joined forces with friend and guitar player and vocalist Johnny Wilson who was in another band of friends at the time. It was about this time that DDLX graduated to high school, expanding their musical horizons and places to play. With Josh at Marquette and the others at Pius, DDLX now had 2 more places to perform.
