ENGINE OF EARTH
The trio known as Engine of Earth is a new rock band with a very unique style. Listening to the music itself will reveal the group's neo-classical and early 1970's progressive rock roots. Engine of Earth does not play any covers, and because the originals are radically different from music on the radio today, it is difficult to classify the group in a specific genre. The songs are largely melody-reliant, so listeners should expect lots of soloing, changes in tempo, and occasionally harmonic vocals. Influences range from classical composers like Rachmaninoff to rock bands like Pink Floyd or Metallica, but Emerson, Lake, and Palmer is by far the group's most prominent influence. Engine of Earth songs contain the instrumental and rhythmic diversity so commonly showcased in ELP's first five albums. Visit our site (www.myspace.com/engineofearthband.com) for sample of our music.
