ROCK - Punk/Hardcore
The Unrepentant was originally intended to be a side project fronted by guitarist and lead vocalist Maxwell Omen. In spring of 2009, while still with a small hardcore quartet named Rufkut, Omen approached the band's bassist Vendetta Jones and drummer Gus to help record a few punk-influenced rock songs he'd been writing. Both accepted, though the band did not hold its first practice session until the summer of 2009.
Unfortunately for the trio's former band, the inception of The Unrepentant marked the end of Rufkut. Alas, The Unrepentant became the trio's primary focus, and after only a few gatherings, the ambitious group set out to self-record its first demo having never even played a single gig. The result was a three-song blend of throwback punk rock, pop-punk and old-fashioned rock 'n roll.
Though the band has never performed as The Unrepentant, the trio, with their former band, has experience playing at the Rave, the Miramar Theater and the Modjeska Theater in Milwaukee, Wis.,
